Suppose you want to cook an egg for exactly 3 minutes. You have only a 5 minute hourglass timer and a 2 minute hourglass timer. Using these 2 timers, how can you boil the egg for exactly 3 minutes? (this one is really stupid but it's all google came up with)

You set off (or whatever) both hourglasses and when the 2 min hourglass has finished you put the egg in and wait for the 5 min one to finish. Am I right  I can run but not walk. Wherever I go, thought follows close behind. What am I? |
