Okay so thsi is based on the end of 2x10 The Headless Witch in The Woods, BB moment
Just A Guy Hug
She was used to being alone. She was always alone. She had basically no family, Her social skills were limited and she didn’t have a boyfriend. She always fell for the wrong guys. The latest addition to her list was Will Hastings, who killed his brother and then tried to blame it on some dead witch who died in the 1700’s.
Temperance wondered why she even bothered if she was just going to get her heart broken.
She sighed and leaned back in her chair as she heard footsteps approaching her office.
“I sure know how to pick em don’t I?” she asked when she saw Booth. He was one of the only people she could rely on. “Well you know, our perceptions are always colored by what we hope, what we fear, what we love, we do the best we can” he said and took a few steps into her office.
“I’m afraid my best isn’t good enough… I can read bones, not people” she said and swiveled her chair around a bit. “Well you know you had no trouble seeing through me” Booth said and smiled. She gave a small laugh.
Then she sighed and sat up properly and started going through some papers, trying to avoid eye contact.
“It’s a good thing I like being alone” she said as she stood up and walked around to the front of her desk. “You know what Bones? You’re not alone okay?” Booth asked and put a hand on her shoulder making her stand up properly and turn around. She sighed. “Booth…” she started. “Hey, you are my partner. It’s a guy hug” he said.
Temperance swallowed. “Take it” Booth said. He nodded and she stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her. He rubbed her back and squeezed her and Temperance had a feeling this was more than just a guy hug.
