A/N; This one-shot is just the result of me being bored and it being too cold and snowy to actually do something. So it’s a small cute Addek story, hope you like it.
Summary – It’s Addison’s first day in kindergarten, it looks pretty bad that is until a certain boy saves her from being shot with a toy gun…
Melting teachers in kindergarten
Even though she was just four years old she knew one thing for sure – this place was NOT fun. No matter how much her father kept telling her so. She stopped in the doorway to the larger room and grabbed hold of the door. There was no way she was going in there. All she saw was kids running around screaming and laughing…it all just so loud and annoying. She was far too good to be stuffed in a place like this.
“Come on honey” Her dad said happily and reached for her hand.
“NO!” she stomped her tiny foot to the floor and took a better hold of the door. “I want to go home!”
“Addie you can not go home any longer, me and your mommy have to work, its time for you to start kindergarten. Besides, doesn’t it look fun?”
“NO!” Addison held onto the door while her dad tried to get her fingers loose. “HOME!”
“Addison!” he said angrily and just picked her up, making her loose her hold on the door.
“But daaad!” the four year old whined as he placed her on the floor inside the room.
“You will be nice and have a good time. I will be back this afternoon and get you” he stated and walked out the door, leaving her all alone.
“You will have a great time, just give it some time” the teacher said and smiled, showing the gap here one tooth was missing.
Addie moved further into the room, not really sure where to go or what to do. She glanced back at the door, the thought of escaping was very tempting but she didn’t want the toothless lady to chase her.
She walked past the boys who were running around shooting people with their toy guns.
“Bang you’re dead” one dark haired boy said with a big grin at her.
“Mark don’t shoot the new girl” she turned around and saw a young boy about her age looking at her and the boy with the gun.
“Oh come on, she was just begging for it” Mark said.
“That’s okay” Addie said. “I wouldn’t die anyway, my daddy is a doctor and he would save me” she stated matter-of-factly before she walked over to the other boy. “Thanks” she said as she stopped by the small table where he was drawing.
“Its okay, Mark can be kind of mean sometimes” he said with a shrug. “You wanna paint with me?” he asked seconds later and looked up at her with a big smile. “We can share my crayons if you want.”
“Sure” Addie sat down on the small chair next to him and grabbed one of the blank papers. “So what’s your name?” she asked as she snuck the blue crayon from the box.
“Derek” he said. “What’s yours?”
“Addie” she said. “Well Addison but they just call me that when I am bad” she added. “I’m four by the way.”
“I’m five” Derek said and stretched his back up to show how he was taller then her, even if it was just a few centimeters.
“I have a sister who is six, she says five and four is really young” Addie said and added some red to her already blue drawing.
“Well your sister is really old then” Derek said. “My mum says you get wrinkles and bad stuff when you’re old.”
“Then I like being four” Addie stated.
“There you are” The teacher, Ms. Addams said with a high pitch tone that would surely kill any animal in sight. “Derek why don’t you show Addison here to the table, its time for breakfast” she said before she moved away to the other kids.
“She’s scary” Addie said as she helped Derek collect the crayons they had used and place them in the box.
“Mark says she is a witch” Derek said. “If you want after we eat we can throw water on her and see if she melts” he added making her giggle. “Do you wanna sit with me at breakfast?” he asked and held out his tiny hand towards her.
“Sure” she took his hand and together they walked towards the other room.
Maybe kindergarten wasn’t too bad after all. Maybe it could even be fun, after they melted that witch of course…
